The Item Template List is the list of all Item Templates defined in the Threat Model. It is available from the View ribbon.

It can be used to view and edit existing Item Templates, or to create them.

The Item Template List ribbon provides the possibility to:

• Add a new Entity Template to the list: when you click the aptly named button, the Create Entity Template dialog is shown. Simply fill in the name and the description, select the specific Entity Type (External Interactor, Process, or Data Store) and optionally select the icon to show for the Entity. If no icon is shown, then the default one will be used.

• Add a new Flow Template to the list: when you click the aptly named button, the Flow Template Creation dialog is shown. Simply fill in the name and the description, and you are done.
• Add a new Trust Boundary Template to the list: when you click the aptly named button, the Trust Boundary Template Creation dialog is shown. Simply fill in the name and the description, and you are done.
• Remove one or more of the Item Templates selected in the list. Please note that this will succeed, even if the Item Template is already associated to one or more objects.
• Refresh the list, using the aptly named button.

Right below the ribbon, there is a filter that allows showing only the Item Templates containing some text.
