Templates are collections of properties, definitions of entities, threats, mitigations and other specifications, which may adopted to accelerate the development of Threat Models. They do not contain information from any actual system, but are knowledge bases containing information related to a specific context. For example, you may have a template for Azure PaaS services and another for LINDDUN. Contrarily to Threat Models, Templates do not contain the data related to specific systems, but only the foundational information that may be used to build them.
Templates may be adopted partially, for example you may decide to import some threats and leave out anything else.
A Threat Model may adopt zero, one or many Templates, and you may import a new Template at any time.

For your convenience, we have collected here some Templates.

When possible, we have included multiple links:

• Download Template, allows to download the template itself, in TMT format.
• Download Example file, allows to download an example file built with the template, in TM or TMJ format.
  Most often than not, this file is the one used to export the Template itself.
• Download Reference Word File is the Reference Word File used to generate the Example Report.
• Download Example Report is the Word Report generated for the Example File.

The table also indicates if the Template uses specific Extensions. If so, the Template will still work if loaded on a TMS missing the specified Extension, but will miss some functionalities.

For your convenience, we have collected here some Word File Templates, you can use to create your own Reference Word Files.
